Allergies or Sinusitis?

Allergy season is now upon us. But did you know that many people who may have self diagnosed themselves as allergic may actually have a sinus condition? A study by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation (AAFA) found that an incredible 51% of participants had misdiagnosed themselves with allergies when they actually had sinusitis. The misdiagnosis is actually not that surprising given that the two conditions share many of the same symptoms, including: headaches, runny nose, congestion, and fatigue. It’s possible even to have both at the same time; seasonal allergies can aggravate a chronic sinus condition.
