Dr. Corey Ming-Lum is a trained General and Laparoscopic Surgeon. He has extensive training and a proven track record in advanced laparoscopic techniques. Previously he has held locum and Staff Surgeon positions at Lions Gate Hospital, Shuswap Lake Hospital, and the Richmond Hospital. Additionally, he was the Instructor in General Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Ming-Lum is a member of a team of renowned and board certified surgeons at False Creek Healthcare’s Surgical Centre. As a member of False Creek’s Lap-Band Clinic, he is dedicated to providing a patient-centered service focused on the success of his patients.
Dr. Ming-Lum maintains an active membership with American College of Surgeons (ACS), Canadian Association of General Surgeons (CAGS), Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the Canadian Medical Association (CMA). Dr. Ming-Lum has been published in Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases (The Evolution of Bariatric Surgery), Surgical Endoscopy, the International Journal of Surgical Pathology, and the B.C. Medical Journal.
In his free time Dr. Ming-Lum enjoys playing basketball, skiing and golfing. He is also an enthusiastic pianist and is an associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto.
