full_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-small Submitted Aug. 17, 2015 After almost having to fight to advocate for myself and the constant pain in my right shoulder at my family doctor’s office for well over a year and further stalling at the Glen Sather even after the MRI showed significant issues, I got lucky. The doctor of Physiotherapy booked me in with the amazing Dr. Sheps. He knew right away the situation. The most caring, attentive and professional surgeon I’ve had the good fortune of being assigned to in all my life. No beating around the bush, just straight forward “you need surgery” and thank God, he got me in almost immediately.Six months later of really hard work, I’m swinging a golf club again. Dr. Sheps saved my quality of life. To say having him as my surgeon was a straight-up miracle is not an overstatement at all. The fact that my shoulder is pretty close to 100% in only 6 months is a true testament to how talented he is at what he does. The fact that puts him at the very top of my list is his care and concern for his patients’ well being. Even his staff is exemplary. I never felt like I was rushed, pushed, condescended to or uncared for. This was, oddly enough, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I couldn’t say enough good things about Dr. Sheps, – what he can do and who he is as a person. If you are lucky enough to have this doctor as your surgeon, you’re in the best hands in the country.
full_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-small Submitted Jan. 23, 2015 Shoulder surgery: This doctor is an exceptional surgeon. My appointments have always been timely, a surgeon with a most predictably happy disposition leaving me confident with his evaluation and work performance. An all-around exceptional doctor and a straight shooter – right to the bone! His highly successful reputation brought me to his care and all the positive word-of-mouth referrals spoke volumes before I met him. Now, having undergone his healing surgical repair and witnessed to his professional and personal bedside manners- I can personally testify to his healing skills.I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. David Sheps as one of the most caregiving doctors I have ever met. On our first meeting he told me I was not the best candidate for surgery but nonetheless he gave me every confidence of a successful surgery; then putting me to work on pre-op arm and shoulder exercises. He has since delivered! The surgery was a complete success. His selection of an operating room team -beyond reproach. His planning for immediate patient initiated physio says much about his understanding of the complete healing process.Everything has gone according to plan leaving me with every confidence that my shoulder will be healed. Dr Sheps is a gem of a surgeon. Never doubt his competence or professional standards.
full_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-smallfull_star-small Submitted Sept. 9, 2014 When I saw Dr. Sheps for the first time I felt such relief that finally someone was going to help with my shoulder and neck pain. I had a torn rotator cuff and arthritis at the shoulder. He was reassuring that there was surgery that could be done. On my own I had tried all avenues first and I felt this was recognized. I worked hard to keep my shoulder strong going into surgery and my recovery has been on track following my surgery as well. I found he sat down with me and answered questions that I had during my visits to clinic. Follow-up has been scheduled at the right intervals post surgery and I was very happy with the physio team I was also recommended to. If problems persist with my left shoulder I will be calling his office again.
