Dr. Michael Weber is a fellowship trained Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeon and is a member of our Surgical Centre in Vancouver, BC.
Dr. Weber acquired his Orthopedic Surgery training from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver and has also completed fellowship training in Orthopedic and Neurosurgical Spine Surgery at the University of California San Francisco (San Francisco, CA) and the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia). Dr. Weber additionally obtained a PhD at the National Research Council of Canada for research focused on MRI imaging of the Spine. Dr. Weber’s research interests include the assessment and management of surgical clinical outcomes, recognizing that attaining health outcomes extends beyond primary hospital care.
Dr. Weber is experienced in conservative (including spinal injections) and operative treatment of all spine conditions for patients of all ages, including back pain, neck pain, scoliosis, sciatica, disc herniation, spine trauma/fractures, infection, spinal tumor, and failed spine syndrome.
Dr. Weber employs a comprehensive range of minimally invasive treatments that can effectively treat all aspects of complex spinal disorders. Dr. Weber uses the latest techniques with an approach that allows him to perform operations that are normally done via large midline incision through a much smaller incision. This allows for excellent outcomes with considerably less tissue damage and faster recovery.
