Dr. Ken Poon practices Urology with a special interest in male infertility. His scope of practice includes general female and male Urology including expertise in prostate cancer surgery, bladder cancer surgery, reconstruction of the urinary tract, laser stone surgery, and minimally invasive (laparoscopic) kidney surgery.
Dr. Poon graduated from the UBC Urology Residency Program in 2003. He is based at Richmond Hospital and is a member of our Surgical Centre in Vancouver, B.C.
Dr. Poon is past-president of the British Columbia Urological Society and the former Urology representative to the Society of Specialist Physicians and Surgeons at the British Columbia Medical Association from 2006-2008. As a clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia, he is involved in the training of medical students as well as residents in the Department of Urologic Sciences and Department of Family Practice.
