Dear Dr. Chan, I would like to again express my appreciation to you for successfully carrying out the surgery on my lower back. During our consultation, I felt that you are a very caring person and truly considered my wellness. Upon leaving the False Creek Surgical Centre the only thing missing was my excruciating back pain and the numbness in my right leg. In addition, because of the skilful surgery on my back I didn’t need any pain arresters, or other medication to alleviate possible cramping in my legs. I felt totally renewed … thank you very much for that. Also, please thank your Anaesthetist.

With respect to your staff (3rd and 6th floor) they were very considerate, helpful and very professional. I felt that I was in good hands and totally placed my trust in them. First I want you to know that Maureen is doing great and can walk short distances without crutches or limp and it is only day five. People often write to complain but I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to yourself, the three fabulous caring nurses on duty and of course Doctor Tarrazi who was outstanding while keeping Maureen comfortable and informed throughout the day. Together you all made our day at the False Creek HeathCare Centre a positive experience and we thank you for that.

Dear Dr. Javer, I wish to commend your Surgical Fellow, Dr. San Sunkaraneni, for the very sensitive way in which he handled the difficult task of removing my splints and spacers yesterday. Not only was he careful and skillful, he also was so kind and considerate of my feelings. I commend San for his excellent communications skills, which helped to put me more at ease. His soft-spoken “Sorry” each time I gasped, actually meant so much to me and were such a comfort. His consistent kindness of manner made the whole procedure much easier for me.

Hi Maurice, I Just wanted to thank you for your kindness and professional attitude. When the test was over I was so glad to get out of the machine that I did not give you much feedback that might be useful to you. Mandy said she would pass this email along to you.

I really appreciated the times you spoke to me and told me how long the tests would take. I count them out and that way know when they are just about over and I can wiggle and when I must stay very still. I would like to suggest you do this each time because it really helps to reduce stress. Encouraging words and check ins help a lot -huge for me. By doing this each and every time you may find that you have better outcomes as patients hold on for just a few more seconds as they know when the tests finish. Also counting gives my brain something to do other than fussing! In other words, more of what you were doing would be helpful to at least some patients. Thank you so much

I had my testing on the 8th, the doppler was positive (Dr. Cooperberg was hysterical, I loved him!) and I’m waiting now for the results of the MRI/MRV. My experience there with all the staff was so wonderful, respectful and caring, that all I wanted when I left was to be able to go back there for the treatment. My prayers have been answered. Thank you again Dr. Godley, though I did not meet you, for caring for us and making sure we get that care.

Thank you Dr. Godley, Dr. Cooperberg, Dr. Simka and all the wonderful staff working on March 2nd when my son Greg Cooper had the MRV and Doppler. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. The waiting room was filled with positive energy as we met some “face book friends” and all shared their test results. Funny how we were all hoping for CCSVI and got it!! Both Greg’s jugular veins have malformed valves. Dr. Simka graciously allowed me to take his photo with Greg. Dr. Cooperberg has a great sense of humour. This was a good experience at a tense time. We are all looking forward to the next step. Thank you again.
