I am 46 years old. I had heavy and painful menstrual bleeding with clots all through my life but from last two years I have been experiencing abnormal bleeding. The size of the clots has become big and and the blood just gushes out or just keep dripping continously after that. Some times I don’t even come to know and my pad is soiled with my clothes. I use bladder control pads for my bleeding. I take Naproxen for the pain and my mentrual period is 13 to 15 days long. There are 4-5 days in between when the bleeding is reduced quite a bit. I had regular ultrasounds and biopsies done. Few years ago I had fibroids and adnemiosis. The fibroids were treated with uterine embolization. In the recent ultrasound the findings were of adnemiosis.
I have been avoiding Hysterectomy because of potential side effects. I was also given birthcontrol pill and some medication which worsened the bleeding.
I am looking forward to hear your comments and options I have.

        Hello,
I have been diagnosed with u terine fibroids, I am under gyne care but I have alomost died twice due to excessive menstrual bleeding which has led me to severe anemia. I am now caught in the looping of the medical system. I was just released from Emergency from very heavy bleeding 24 hours ago. I have been so badly affected by these fibroids that I bleed all over the floor at work, in my pants. I am now in bladder control pads. I have begged and pleaded with the doctors to just perform surgery, but it is a constant waiting game. I cry everyday and feel that I can’t go on anymore. The bleeding takes so much out of me and all I want is the surgery. This has been going on since August of last year.I have had two blood transfusions and have been examined by 21 doctors to date during the heaviest of my bleeding. I am humilliated and devastated. I have had so much trauma that I feel I can’t go on anymore. I just want to be well. You are my last hope in Vancouver as I have been told to go to US for treatment as they will help me right away. Do you have any suggesstions as I am so tired and lost. Please let me know. Thank you
